October, you are gonna kill me.

nervous

"Be anxious for nothing, but in all things, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7.

I got a Tumblr, but I like it better here

angst.
i want to move out so, so badly, and shake my life up somewhere else.

i could go to any college i wanted, grades-wise, but i just can't always fathom the idea of sitting in a classroom where nobody cares, where the professors assign busywork, and where i'm not fulfilled.

i want to be a writer, conservational biologist, and artist.

my Indiana University classes provide me with mental fuel, they do. i can wrap my mind around interesting stuff and complete my gen eds. but i want independence and i want to experience new lives and places. distance courses just can't give you that. i might be living with my friend elisabeth in la mirada, ca, someday. that's a little piece of hope.

all i'd like is to keep learning, sincerely, wherever i am, in whatever capacity. on the job and in my backyard. i don't mean be a professional student. that's a cop-out. i mean take what i do and make a meaningful impression on this earth.

c'est mars

When I was 13 years old, I loved the song "Ocean Avenue", by Yellowcard. Recently, I added some old songs to my ipod, and when I listened to that one, I couldn't believe what I was thinking. The lyrics go,

"We were both sixteen, and it felt so right, sleeping all day stayin up all night", and then later
"We were both eighteen and it felt so right..."

I used to think that it would be forever until that age. Now I'm older than both of those years, and I don't know how to feel. Ha.

I still love the song.

i'm not watching the superbowl right now

Books written for teenage girls are fails. I read "This Lullaby" by Sarah Dessen, big mistake.

I've discovered that next to Stephanie Meyer, Sarah Dessen is the worst author ever. It's amazing that her "books" can fill upwards of 300 pages, without even accidentally developing a plot or creating a meaningful character. And what's with authors making abusive men seem like the right way to go?

The only reason I put her one notch above Meyer is because Dessen uses big words, like "proximity".

escape

That overwhelmingly makes me want to run to the edge of heart and acheive my goals.
And i've never even cared for the sea.

tye-dye

I saw Avatat last weekend, and I can't see what the rage is about. It was ok, but I'd rather watch Pocahantas. Maybe I'm not affected by new visual technology advancements. I'm satisfied with old, Disney-style animation :]

I want to come to the point in my life where, next to fate, I get to be closest to the driver's seat.

purple tylenol is better than purple motrin

Have you ever had that experience where you are introduced to someone, and then after a few minutes you realize you know them? But you quickly realize they have no idea whom you are, so you stare at them and wonder if there's something you can do to make them recognize you.

And when they say "Nice to meet you" when you're leaving, you don't know how to feel.

It's like you're trapped in someone else's body because the other person has no idea you are you.
